Well fellow musical comedy aficionados, there is an old saying that all good things must come to an end and so it is with a heavy heart and an immaculate desk (I thought it might be a good idea to clean up for the new person, not knowing what her tolerance for utter filth and chaos might be) that I must bid you a fond farewell. I am leaving my beloved CLO and Pittsburgh itself to move to the picturesque hamlet of Barrington, Rhode Island. I will definitely miss our little chats and I doubt if anyone in Rhode Island is going to be foolish, I mean gracious enough to give me such a forum to speak my mind. However don’t cry for me all you Burghers, I have a plan to keep busy and work for the good of the Steel City. You know, Barrington is only a hop skip and a jump from Boston and Boston is only a jump, skip and a hop from Foxboro, the home of the hated Patriots. I shouldn’t really be telling you this, but a certain senior Senator from Pennsylvania who shall remain nameless, ARLEN SPECTER, has entrusted me with the job of making sure that those uncouth boys in red white and blue never steal our signals again. Yes, that’s right I have been entrusted with the sacred duty of busting up any future spygates. I’ll be on the job at every game. I have already purchased by Tedy Bruschi jersey (I’ll wear my Hines Ward one underneath), and my red white and blue bozo wig. I figure in the bozo wig I’ll fit right in with all the rest of the Patriot fans, right? Just let that devil Bill Belicheat or any of his satanic minions try anything funny. I have pledged to limit my beer drinking to one a quarter, well maybe that’s a little Spartan, maybe three is a little more reasonable. I mean a girl’s got to keep her strength up. Anyway, with such self- control, I should be sharp as a tack and ready to protect my boys In the meantime, I hope you will all keep supporting the CLO and keep the flame of musical theater burning in your hearts. And if you ever miss me, just tune into the Patriots games on Sundays, I’ll be the one with the red, white and blue bozo wig on and my face painted discreetly in black and gold.
